Hey there, candy lovers! Have you ever thought about life like a box full of candies? Sometimes you get sweet treats that make you smile, while other times, it feels like you've bitten into something sour. But that's just how life goes – full of surprises!
Imagine reaching into your candy box and finding a delicious chocolate truffle. Life feels amazing, right? But then, the next candy might be a bit tough to chew, like a hard candy. It's not always easy, but every candy adds a different flavor to your life's journey.
Here's the thing: don't be afraid to try new flavors! Sure, you might not like every candy you try – maybe you'll find a flavor you don't enjoy, like licorice. But how will you know if you don't take a bite?
What if you ask me - I am already enjoying this current candy...why should I think of trying another one. Do you think you will have the same taste while chewing the same candy forever...Slowly you will be bored and the taste will start fading.
Let me share a personal story with you. There was one incident when I prepared a presentation about innovation after getting inspired from my MBA class and shared it with my team of Engineers. The Manager liked it and wanted me to share it when our VP was in town. They liked it a lot and wanted me to fly across the US to present to their board. One event led to another, and I got multiple opportunities following that which built my confidence and gained multiple connections and future opportunities. It is always worth it to try and move out of your comfort zone to keep exploring, learning new things, and most importantly, sharing it with others while keeping your expectations low.
And let's talk about fear. It's normal to worry about what others might think if you try something new. But guess what? Most people are too busy with their own candy boxes to notice what you're doing.
So, forget about the past. Stop thinking about the candies you didn't like before. Focus on the ones ahead – the ones waiting for you to unwrap and enjoy!
In life, you don't have to stick to the same old flavors. Don't settle for boring candies when there's a whole box of possibilities waiting for you. Take a chance, explore new tastes, and chase your dreams. Remember, life is like a box of candies – it's up to you to enjoy every flavor!
Remember the powerful message from the Bhagavad Gita (Ancient Indian Scriptures) - "You have the right to work, but for the work's sake only. You have no right to the fruits of work. Desire for the fruits of work must never be your motive in working. Never give way to laziness, either."
Work done with anxiety about results is far inferior to work done without such anxiety, in the calm of self-surrender. They who work selfishly for results are miserable. To action alone hast thou a right and never at all to its fruits; let not the fruits of action be thy motive; neither let there be in thee any attachment to inaction. There is no substitute to hard work and eventually hard work pays."
I know it is easily said than done. Working hard without expectations?? I never could understand this when I was growing up when my grandfather used to tell us. Now when I dare to try doing different things or put in effort in certain tasks or missions without the worry about the results, I started enjoying more and it certainly feels more rewarding and enjoyable.
I am ready to taste various candies from my box. Friends, are you ready??
What are the passions and dreams that you haven't had the chance to explore, kept them unwrapped or hidden in your chocolate box? Are you still waiting for the perfect moment? Are you worried to try new flavors?
Let us remember to practice gratitude and acceptance, and embrace a learn and move on attitude. Life is an ever-changing journey, filled with surprises and opportunities for growth.
And hey, if you ever feel stuck or need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to reach out. Whether you need a coach to talk to or need help for your teams, I'm here to help. Life's too sweet to navigate alone!
